When Charlse Jordan first contacted me over a year ago about shooting her August 12, 2012 wedding, I had no idea about the type of event that it would become. She was recommended to me by a mutual friend and told me she loved my work. (A recommendation is one of the biggest compliments I can recieve!) Unfortunately, our efforts to have our "meet and greet" prior to the wedding was foiled by several circumstances and we had to put it off until the day of. We talked and talked via email the last week or so before the wedding, nailing down details and ironing out a schedule for the day. The more we communicated, and the more the details of her wedding started to flow, the more excited I got! She had not only booked a one of a kind venue at the Castle on the Lake in Jacksonville, TX (more on that amazing location to come in later posts), but she also wanted an emphasis on photography for her wedding day! WooHoo! That made my day, let me tell ya! She and her soon to be simply did not have many photos together and she wanted to make sure that she had extraordinary memories of her wedding day.
Once we finally met on the big day, it was quite simply like we were longtime friends. There was not any awkward "settling in" phase while we got used to one another and to say she was a laid back bride would be an understatement. This must have been the most fun, relaxing, and photographically exciting wedding that I have ever shot. I was on location all day, while everyone prepared, and throughout the ceremony and reception. This precious couple opted for a First Look session (more on that in a separate post as well), and all of the formal portraits were completely finished by time for the ceremony to begin.
Mr. & Mrs. Finley, thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to capture your most precious memories! Your wedding was amazing and will forever be one to remember! It was a joy to meet you both and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! There are so many photos that I absolutely love but it would be impossible to post them all. Since the ceremony photos are kind of the "big deal" of the day (it is a wedding after all), and since that is where I am starting on my final edits, this is where I've chosen to begin your tour of Jared & Charlse Finley's wedding day. Please check back often as I will be posting more details of their big day through this next week and there is so much that you just don't want to miss!! Please click on a photo to view it larger.
