{ the David's } |family|

As most of my fans know, we recently moved from the DFW area to Pampa, TX.  Rebuilding my clientele here has proven to be a tedious task and therefore I truly appreciate every session that I book here.  My hope is that each of these Client's will love their portraits enough to spread the word and help me get my little business back on its feet.

The David family was recommended to me by a mutual friend, and this is exactly the kind of word of mouth that I am relying on!  You are about to meet one precious family with a fantastic sense of style! I absolutely love the outfits they chose. While these photos clearly say "Fall is Here," it actually warmed up a but faster than expected that morning and I found myself a bit overdressed for the weather.  Oh well, the colors are amazing and totally made up for my own fashion faux pas.

Bandi, I hope you love your sneak peek! You have a beautiful family and your girls are just adorable!  I hope to work with you again someday! Your gallery will be uploading soon.

{ the King's } |family|

Last year I had the priviledge of capturing a beautiful, rambunctious little two year old named Savannah who is the daughter of one of my childhood friends, Mariah. Savannah's mom and I graduated high school together and that was the first time I had seen her since our graduation.  I have to say that is is so wonderful to see my old friends and their beautiful families and even more special to capture them!  Savannah's tea party portraits were some of my very favorite photos to date, and I didn't know until recently that Mariah's sister Lillian loved those photos as much as we did.

Lillian contacted me a month or so ago to set up some holiday portraits for her own children; adorable little Bryson and precious Adalyn.  While a cold rainy day tried to spoil our photographic fun, we made the best of it and thanks to Lillian's Aunt, we had the use of a beautiful (warm and dry) home and many fun antique items to include in their portraits. Even though the kiddos weren't feeling there best thanks to the ever changing weather, we still managed to capture some great memories and even a few genuine smiles.  I also had the opportunity to sneak in a few family portraits and couple portraits for Lillian and her handsome hubby Riley.  This family was just so kind and fun and it made for a truly wonderful afternoon behind the lens.  Lillian, I hope you enjoy your peek, I'll have your gallery up soon!

{Michael & Mena} |family|

Jimena emailed me about two months ago telling me that she wanted me to take her and her hubby, Michael's christmas family portraits.  I was completely stoked!  Mena has been a good friend for a couple of years now and is the sister in law of another good family friend, the lovely Miss Abby.  You may recognize Abby from her romance on the lake portraits not too long ago.  If you missed it, check it out here : http://www.amydillinghamphotography.blogspot.com/2012/08/abby-noel-romance.html  That was my introductory post on this blog and I have just loved blogging my sessions since.  I'll include a couple of Mena's bridal portraits in this post to show you my first session with this beautiful lady.  She is simply stunning!

Back to Mena & Michael; these two are just the most awesome and totally meant for each other couple ever!  They are truly both old souls, in love with everything vintage and everything music.  When we started scheming for their styled session we began with ideas revolving around a vintage record player and their favorite records.  I have to admit that while we took those, they are nowhere near my favorites of this session!  This session went above and beyond my wildest expectations and was a true refresher for me.  My next idea was one borrowed from the amazing Ginny Corbett Photography and one that I thought fit this couple to a "t".  With a little craftiness, Mena turned an old guitar into a chalkboard to display their Christmas greeting. It was absolutely perfect, and paired with the gorgeous lake backdrop, its just breathtaking!

What turned out to be the most prominent feature of their session came to be completely by accident!  The day before their session I was meeting another Client in old town Cleburne and was recommended to an antique store around the corner from where we were.  I had the idea to shoot around downtown and I also wanted to find an old vintage camera. What I found was Heritage Home, Vintage Inspired Living. There is truly something for every taste, as you are about to see!  I was completely awestruck when I walked in and the ideas started flowing freely!  I introduced myself to the owner, Lynn Buker, and asked if she would be open on Sunday.  She replied that she would not be and I believe my reply was something along the lines of "Darn it, I was hoping I could take some portraits of my Clients in your awesome store tomorrow!"  She was sweet enough to hand me a card and tell me to call her in the morning!  What an amazing blessing! Lynn, you really made this session what it came to be!  Thank you a million for opening your heart and your store to us!  We truly appreciated it and I would LOVE to do it again someday!  (and I can't wait to come back into town so I can go shopping in your store again!)

You can find Heritage Home on facebook here: www.facebook.com/HeritageHomeSupply  Be sure to show some love, "Like" their page and tell them I sent you!  Also, if you are in the area, take some time to go check them out!   The address is 116 E. Chambers Street Cleburne, TX 76031  and they are open Tuesday - Saturday 10am to 5 pm.  They specialize in Antiques, Gifts, Home Decor and Reclaimed Goods.  If you are looking for something specific, give Lynn a call, she's wonderfully kind and I know she would love to help you!  You can reach her at (817) 933-4836.
