{ Melissa } |bridals|

December 1, 2012 marked the wedding day of one very sweet ADP bride, Melissa.  I enjoyed every moment of capturing her and new hubby, Rob's beautiful ceremony and receptions, but that is a post for another day!  Today is just about her!  You may have already seen their engagement session post, but if you missed it don't worry!  You can still see it here:  http://www.amydillinghamphotography.blogspot.com/2012/10/melissa-rob-engaged.html

We actually managed to capture both the engagement and bridal portraits on the same weekend, which worked out wonderfully for me since I was travelling from Pampa to Ft. Worth to take them.  The weather was beautiful but also much colder than it had been for their engagement portraits the day before.  Melissa was such a trooper!  She never complained even though I knew she must be getting quite cold, especially since I was having a hard time coaxing my fingers into position on my camera.

Her elegant wedding dress is the perfect compliment to her classical features and I can't help but think that the long lace sleeves are perhaps my favorite detail on her winter wedding gown.  Top it off with her grandmother's dainty pearl drop necklace and earrings, the ethereal lace edged veil and handmade with love silk boquet, and you find a perfect recipe for bridal beauty. She is still radiating the inner peace and joy that her fiance Rob brought out in her just the day before and I find only the need to click the shutter to capture that essence.

Melissa and Rob, congratulations on your marriage and covenant with God! May God bless you and keep you on the path that he has laid for you.  I wish you both all the happiness and joy in the world!  Thank you for sharing your beautiful journey with me!

XOXO Amy

{ Mark & Teena } |engaged|

Slowly but surely...  I keep telling myself that eventually my little business will pick back up again. That with every session I book in this area, more and more people will know that I am here.  With that said, do I really need to tell you how happy it made me that Teena liked my work enough to even ask me about my packages?  When she decided to book her engagement session with me the same week, I was simply on cloud nine!

I met Teena and Mark for the first time on the morning of their session and I knew right away that they were an easy going couple.  To say that this session wound up being fun would be the understatement of the year.  We had an absolute blast and their portraits will stand out in my mind forever!  Add a fun loving couple together with  a perfect fall day and beautiful light and you have an istant recipe for photographic success.

The chemistry that these two share for each other is the kind that makes you want to go home and snuggle up to your own love.  They just radiate happiness!  To make it even better, they both have a wonderful sense of humor and were able to cut back and relax in front of the camera as if I weren't even there.  It's honestly really nice when I have a natural repoire with my Clients and can show them a little bit of my fun side without them thinking I'm completely off my rocker.  That just makes the most wonderful memories and not to mention portraits!  It means that I am getting to capture something real and beautiful and that in those moments, I was able to document every emotion.   Towards the end of the session Mark actually gave me the compliment of my photographic life.  He told me I was funny and that they really enjoyed their session with me, and that their experience with me was in my own words,"different" that what they had experienced in the past.  That just totally made my year and encourages me to keep trying to build and establish myself!

Mark & Teena, I have absolutely no doubts that you two have a lifetime of love and happiness ahead of you!  Thank you both, from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your memories at this exciting time in your life.  I am truly honored!  I wish you all the best!  I hope you enjoy your preview, your gallery won't be too terribly far behind.

{ Melissa & Rob } |engaged|

I had the priviledge of spending the first weekend of October with a very sweet couple, Melissa & Rob.  I was recommended to Melissa by her cousin Amanda, who happens to be a long time friend of mine! I actually got to spend two days out of my extended photo weekend with Melissa and Amanda, who came along to help out!  Amanda, thanks a million for all of your hard work!  We spent our first evening together on this fantastic engagement session, our second session was for her Bridal Portraits and I cant wait for their wedding so I can share some of those with you!

Back to the engagements; the weather was warm, the light was gorgeous and the location, well just see for yourself!  We made our way out the the Seminary College in Fort Worth and I was just blown away by the scenery!  As I found out from Melissa, she and her soon to be husband met at Cana Baptist Church, where they will be getting married on December 1st, 2012.  Actually, Rob's mom set them up and schemed with Melissa's mom to have them both at church on the same day.  I guess thats proof positive that sometimes mom really does know best! At least in this case it worked out perfectly for them!  Congratulations Melissa & Rob, I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness!  I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you both! Thank you for allowing me the honor of capturing your memories!  I can't wait to be there for your wedding day!
